Get ready for one of W.W.S.C.'s most unique and memorable events of the year: curling with the Gods on the alpine tarn, New Zealand's highest-altitude curling event. Snow-blown ice, smooth stones, dress-ups, helicopter action and good times for all ages.

Not a skier? No problem. We're running helicopter transfers from the Bottom Hut up to the Tarn so everyone can join in the fun.

All the deets

• Free entry. Team registrations for teams of four close at 11:00 am on the day.
• No team? No worries. Sign up when you arrive and we'll find you some teammates.
• Helicopter transfers to the Tarn run from the Bottom Hut. First flight: TBC. Register and book your seat below.
• Refreshments, affectionately known as “Cold Soup”, will be available for purchase at the Tarn. Bring cash.
• Postponement: if the weather Gods insist, curling will move to Sunday 9 August. The helicopter will not operate on the postponement day.
• Lunch: Lloyd's remote mountain Tarn lunch is $20 per person and includes a burger and cake. Prebooking link coming soon, or order before 10:30 am on the day.
• Lodge lunch will also be available at the normal member and non-member rates. Numbers are limited and prebooking is essential.
• Clothing: Dress warm! Team costumes are welcome, or wear that costume you've been saving for a special occasion. You'll be at 1,800 metres, so nobody will know!
